This morning we got an automated phone call at 5 a.m. warning of a possible tsunami from the earthquake in Japan. We were even told to be on alert for a possible evacuation. Nothing happened. A surge hit Santa Cruz just a short distance up the coast this morning however. A video is

I read somewhere that three guys in the US decided to go out ant document the tsunami, apparently they are now missing.

Good thing nothing huge happened in the US. It already very sad the situation in Japan.
That must have been scary. I know I was thinking about all my friends up and down the West Coast. So glad all of you were spared I saw people on TV running along the beach and I thought WTH are they doing out there?
Gosh - I'm glad your area didn't have any damage. We saw the footage of Santa Cruz on the News. Looks like a calm day there on the Monterrey Peninsula.
