Balmy Alley San Francisco
During a recent day trip to San Francisco we visited Balmy Alley in the Mission district. It began in 1972 as a mural project and has evolved into this very eclectic bohemian enclave.

Which is fun and green with all those flowers. I'm intrigued by the almost hidden icon like mural...
Very cool. I hope you will be showing us the mural as well.
This is awesome. I life in SF and never even knew about this. Gorgeous and colorful shot.
I would love to take a day trip with you. You find the most awesome things to photograph!
Yeah, I'd like to get a closer look at that mural too. I love an 'alley' that is covered with brick pavers -- nice!
What a fantastic metamorphosis.
Looks like a nice place to live. I just love San Francisco!
Looks like container gardening and wall art are thriving in the Mission. When my son lived in San Fran, we'd walk there often.
I think it's safe to say that there is no alley like this in Los Angeles. (Maybe no alley like this anywhere.)
