This is a Frank Lloyd Wright house built in 1951, perched at the south end of Carmel beach. You may have seen it in the 1959 movie "A Summer Place." Built for $125,000, with an addition designed by Wright after Mrs. Della Walker moved in in 1956, the house was apparently one of Wright's favorites. It's distinguished by its large stone chimney, blue metal roof, and bank of windows. Not sure who lives there now but they have a prime view of the bay including those insane surfers who ride Carmel Point's giant waves. Here's a view from the other side
